5 Ingredient Lemon Coconut Yogurt

Again… weird recipe alert. (Are you noticing a trend?) Weird because this recipe contains turmeric for color and health benefits. Turmeric has a rather unique flavor, but I don’t really mind it. Unique flavors usually fascinate rather than disgust me, and the way turmeric melds with lemon in this recipe is an adventure for my tastebuds! If you’re not a fan of turmeric, just leave it out.

The coconut just adds a fun element…

If you are sensitive to lactose, you may still be able to eat yogurt. Yogurt is full of some wonderful probiotics, and these digest some of the lactose in yogurt. If you think that having a lactose sensitivity means that you have to avoid dairy forever, give a little yogurt a try! Not all lactose intolerance is the same… you may be able to enjoy the taste and health benefits of your favorite dairy products… just in smaller amounts.

Okay, off of that tangent… let’s make some grub!

5 Ingredient Lemon Coconut Yogurt

2/3 cup plain yogurt

1/2 tablespoon lemon juice

scant 1/4 teaspoon turmeric

Rounded doonk Pure Stevia Extract Powder (or sweeten to taste with your favorite sweetener)

Sprinkle of unsweetened coconut flakes

To make:

Stir the yogurt, lemon juice, turmeric, and stevia together.

Sprinkle with the coconut flakes.

Dig in!

  1. Sounds really good (besides the turmeric part). My mom gives our dogs turmeric with a tiny bit of yogurt every day. Unfortunately, I am more picky than our dogs………
